As captain of the Milton Keynes team, I,ve had to bow to the inevitable and accept that due to numerous injuries and one team member being relocated to Hungary, we won't being taking part this year.
However, I would still love to run this again. So if anybody needs a last minute replacement I might be your man. I'm 49 and Brighton based. I know large parts of the route, run 10k in about 40 mins and have more stamina than speed.
You can get hold of me by e-mail or phone.

Raymond, Pigs Trotters is short of a runner - but we are a women's team. However, I've so far failed to find a female replacement from local clubs in Hampshire. So I'm thinking about recruiting a man instead and changing our entry to a Veteran team (as we are all well over 35!).
Have you been bagged by another team yet?

Many thanks to Crawley AC for giving me a run yesterday. I had a great day out with a really nice bunch of runners; I am very pleased to have done my bit in getting the team round.
It was also good to meet Marilyn from Pigs Trotters and some of the guys from Brighton Hash who had offered me places as well; all much appreciated.
Congratulations to Richard, Jonathan and all those involved in putting on this superb event. Here's to next year and the black and orange vests of Milton Keynes making it to the start line once again.
Best wishes - Raymond Hickman
